The Institute
EDII, an autonomous and not-for-profit organisation, set up in 1983, is promoted by apex financial institutions with support from the Government of Gujarat. It is a Centre of Excellence in skilling ecosystem, as recognised by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India. It is accredited as “Uttam” under the Capacity Building Commission’s National Standards on 4th July 2024. Engaged in Entrepreneurship Education & Development, Research, Training and Institution Building, EDII has been working in a collaborative mode with Central and State Governments, as well as corporates. EDII’s contribution towards mainstreaming entrepreneurship as a career across sections and segments of society is praiseworthy. Its entrepreneurship development interventions, particularly for women, youth and disadvantaged sections of society with focus on rural / sub urban areas are noteworthy.
EDII invites application from committed, talented and experienced professionals to work in the area of Entrepreneurship & MSME Development.
PG/MBA in Management, Rural Management, Economics, Agriculture, Social Work, Behavioural Science, Social Sciences/Humanities, Technology (B Tech/M Tech/MCA) or any relevant field, from a recognised Institution, preferably in first class. Candidates possessing experience in Multilateral Agencies & Global Consulting Firms, and PhD holders will be given preference.
Work experience and other requirements:
should have a strong commitment and a proven track record of preferably 3 to 5 years in the field of Entrepreneurship Development, Livelihoods, Micro Small Medium Enterprises, Cluster Development, Corporate Social Responsibility, Socio Economic Development Projects, Social Innovations, Technology business incubation, Government Development Projects etc.
must be able to formulate, design and prepare proposals. Experience in writing proposals for projects (Government, Corporate & Multilateral Agencies), and in implementing projects is mandatory.
must be able to liaison with Government and other important stakeholders.
should have prior exposure of dealing with decision makers and should be inclined towards business development & project implementation.
must be system-oriented and a team player.
should possess excellent oral & written communication skills in English and proficiency in Computer.
Development & Management of Web Portal and ERP.
Terms of Engagement:
Contractual engagement initially for two years which may be extended further or regularised at the appropriate level (7th CPC) based on qualifications, performance and requirement.
Locations:
Initially at Assam, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, Ladakh, Goa, Gujarat, Uttrakhand and UP but willingness to be transferred to anywhere in India as per Institute’s requirement.
Remuneration:
Emoluments commensurate with qualification and experience.
