The Institute
EDII, an autonomous and not-for-profit organisation, set up in 1983, is promoted by apex financial institutions with support from the Government of Gujarat. It is a Centre of Excellence in skilling ecosystem, as recognised by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India. It is accredited as “Uttam” under the Capacity Building Commission’s National Standards. Engaged in Entrepreneurship Education & Development, Research, Training and Institution Building, EDII has been working in a collaborative mode with Central and State Governments, as well as corporates. EDII’s contribution towards mainstreaming entrepreneurship as a career across sections and segments of society is unique and praiseworthy. Its entrepreneurship development interventions, particularly for women, youth and disadvantaged sections of society with focus on rural / sub urban areas are noteworthy.
Looking to its current and future interventions EDII invites application from committed, talented and experienced professionals to work in the area of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development.
Job Responsibilities
These positions require individuals with a proven track record, dynamism, commitment, execution skills, networking abilities, a proactive attitude, and the capability to lead or work with a team of professionals. The incumbents will be expected to build upon the Institute's core competencies and ensure its sustainable growth. Primary responsibilities include:
Conducting/coordinating capacity-building programmes in entrepreneurship and micro-enterprise promotion.
Networking and relationship management with key stakeholders, including multilateral agencies, funding agencies, development institutions, government departments, academic and applied institutions, industry & management associations, NGOs, and potential & existing entrepreneurs.
Preparing project proposals, Expressions of Interest (EoI), Request for Proposals (RFPs), project bids, and delivering effective presentations.
Reporting to sponsoring agencies and undertaking documentation-related work.
Generating resources for the Institute's growth and diversificatio
Educational Qualifications: A Master’s Degree in Management, Rural Management, Commerce, Behavioural Science, Economics, Agriculture, Social Work, Social Sciences/Humanities, Technology, or any relevant field from a recognised institution.
Work Experience and Other Requirements:
Entrepreneurship / Livelihood Expert: A proven track record with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in the field of Entrepreneurship Training, MSME Clusters, Research, or conducting capacity-building programmes for Micro Enterprise Promotion.
Project Leader: A proven track record with a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in the field of Entrepreneurship Training, MSME Clusters, Research, or conducting capacity-building programmes for Micro Enterprise Promotion.
Project Manager: Applicants with two years of experience or freshers may apply.
Candidates with exceptional qualifications (PhD or equivalent from a reputed institution in a relevant subject) in entrepreneurship teaching and research (such as ‘A’ or ‘B’ category publications in ABDC journals) may be considered for faculty positions on a contractual basis.
